Tips for a Great Visit

The Rules of the Wild

Shirt and shoes are required at all times.
Weapons, of any kind, including firearms, are not permitted on Zoo grounds.
Bicycles, skateboards, roller blades, and rolling shoes (heelies) are not permitted in the Zoo.
Please respect the animals. Teasing, yelling, throwing human food or other objects into their exhibits or at native animals on grounds may result in expulsion from the park.

No loitering or solicitations on Zoo property, including the parking areas, is permitted without prior approval

Length of Stay

We consider the Zoo to be a half-day experience. Plan for a minimum of one hour to see all of the exhibits and at least an hour to experience our new Paws On children's play area. Then based on activities and animal demonstrations, you may find you stay for up to four hours.

Inclement Weather

Brevard Zoo is open rain or shine and most of the Zoo experience is outdoors. For your safety, certain activities may need to close during severe weather and some animals will go off exhibit. Activities will re-open as soon as possible. Refunds and rain checks are not offered for inclement weather.

Lost and Found

Items lost in the park may be identified and claimed at the main office located at the main entrance. Brevard Zoo is not responsible for personal property left by patrons in the park. Neither Brevard Zoo nor its employees assume responsibility for the loss of, or damage to, personal property.

Lost Children

We encourage you to establish a meeting place in case your group becomes separated. Instruct children to contact the nearest Brevard Zoo employee for assistance.
